From the Principal
What an incredible turn out we had for the 2nd grade Farewell Clap Out. Thank you to all the family members who were able to attend. It really felt like the village was here! I think our students felt really special and many had tears in their eyes as they boarded the buses this morning (so did we !).
Many kindergarten classes visited a first grade classroom this week and asked questions of the students. The first graders did the same with the second graders. Peers learning from each other is what it is all about! Thank you teachers for making that happen.
In our efforts to go paperless and save the environment, I've uploaded summer packets above this letter.
The single most important thing you can do for your child over the summer to prepare them for next school year (and life!) is READ, READ, READ, and read some more! Have your child read to you but you should also read to them. Ask questions, give your opinion, share your connections about other stories with them. These are great ways to help them become critical thinkers as they read. The Nanuet Library offers many wonderful programs too.
I hope you have a wonderful, adventure-filled summer.
